World Prayer Center
The World Prayer Center is a magnificent facility with a chapel, seminary, and additional facilities contained within a state of the art building on the campus of New Life Church.Through a cyber network of churches and individuals engaged in collective prayer, praise and worship the center meets mission of offering prayer for and throughout the world. The Internet system developed allows people all over the world to respond to personal, world, and event driven prayer requests. The World Prayer Center has a full schedule of meetings, classes and services every day, and lodging for group or individual retreats. Compassion International began during the Korean War to assist orphans with food, shelter, and health care. Today this outstanding Christian child advocacy ministry, works in over 20 countries, and helps more than 703,000 children. http://www.compassion.com Navigators The Navigators exist 'To know Christ, and to make Him known'. Although their formation began in the 1930's the Navigators became a more formal organization around U.S. Navy bases in World War II. After the war they expanded to college campuses, and today serve inner cities, prisons, youth camps, in addition to the military and college constituency. The ministry is international in scope, and primarily operates through small group and individual studies. They also operate the NavPress a Christian publishing house, and Glen Eyrie, a Colorado Springs landmark, now offered as a retreat and conference center. The mission statement at Focus on the Family is to help preserve traditional family values by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Focus has an active media component featuring radio programming, and publishing. They encourage and support a number of ministry activities.
