Air Force Academy
The United States Air Force Academy is located in the Northwest section of Colorado Springs, and occupies a large tract of land that is both college and operational Air Force base, with a mission of supporting the training activities of the Cadet Wing. The Academy maintains an enrollment of approximately 4000. Each student is in training to be a commissioned officer, and graduates with a service commitment. The Academy and it's NCAA Division, IA, men's and women's, athletic teams are an integral part of the Colorado Springs community. Colorado College
Known locally as CC, Colorado College is one of the nation's foremost private colleges teaching the liberal arts and sciences. The school of about 2000 students occupies a magnificent campus in the heart of Colorado Springs. Colorado College uses an innovative block system of seminar type instruction. Most athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division III level, with the exception of Division, IA Women's Soccer, and the nationally ranked Men's Ice Hockey team. University of Colorado at Colorado Springs
UCCS is one of four schools that comprise the University of Colorado system. Approximately 7500 students attend classes at the Colorado Springs campus. The school offers 25 undergraduate, 17 masters, and two doctoral degrees. UCCS currently is planning an increase in enrollment, and facilities with an objective of being recognized as a top regional university for programs and research.
