Monument
Monument Colorado is a pleasant, scenic, community tucked against the Palmer Divide. Part of the Tri-Lakes which includes Woodmoor and Palmer Lake, the town is located along I-25 about 15 miles north of Colorado Springs, and 40 miles south of Denver. Still very much a small town of approximately 5000 residents, it is though one of the fastest growing areas in Colorado.

The town offers a variety of lodging choices. There are many excellent local restaurants, and several of the national chains represented.

Although Monument, and the Tri-Lakes are primarily considered a residential or 'bedroom' community there are complete services here including a U.S. Post Office, grocery and other shopping, including at the newly developed Monument Marketplace.

Around the town are many places to hike, fish and camp. Monument has a historic downtown area also, befitting a community that dates to the 1870s.
